Subscription & Billing

Manage your plan, payment methods, and view invoices.

Overview

OpenChair offers tiered plans:

  • Starter — For solo practitioners
  • Growth — For growing teams
  • Enterprise — For multi-location businesses

Viewing Your Plan

Go to SettingsBilling to see:

  • Current plan name
  • Billing cycle (monthly/annual)
  • Next billing date
  • Payment method on file

Upgrading Your Plan

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Click Upgrade Plan
  3. Select your new plan
  4. Confirm payment
  5. Features unlock immediately

Tip

When upgrading mid-cycle, you're only charged the difference.

Downgrading

To switch to a lower plan:

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Click Change Plan
  3. Select the lower tier
  4. Changes take effect at next billing cycle

Warning

Downgrading may disable features. Ensure you're under the new plan's limits.

Payment Methods

Updating Card

  1. Go to Billing
  2. Click Update Payment Method
  3. Enter new card details
  4. Save

Supported Methods

  • Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex)
  • Debit cards
  • Bank transfer (Enterprise only)

Invoices

Access past invoices:

  1. Go to Billing
  2. Click Invoice History
  3. Download any invoice as PDF

Each invoice shows:

  • Billing period
  • Plan charges
  • Any usage fees
  • Total paid

Receiving Payments

Connecting Stripe

To accept customer payments:

  1. Go to Settings → Payments
  2. Click Connect with Stripe
  3. Complete Stripe onboarding
  4. Start accepting payments

Payout Schedule

Stripe deposits funds to your bank:

  • Standard: 2 business days
  • Instant: Available immediately (fee applies)

Failed Payments

If a payment fails:

  1. You receive an email notification
  2. 3-day grace period before service interruption
  3. Update card to restore service

Cancelling Subscription

To cancel:

  1. Go to Billing
  2. Click Cancel Subscription
  3. Confirm cancellation
  4. Access continues until end of billing period

After cancellation:

  • Data preserved for 30 days
  • Can reactivate anytime
  • After 30 days, data is deleted

Troubleshooting

Issue Solution
Payment failed Update payment method
Can't add staff Upgrade to higher plan
Invoice not received Check spam; download from Billing
Need refund Contact support@tryopenchair.com
