Customising Your Storefront Appearance

Customising Your Storefront Appearance

Control the look and feel of your public booking page — choose a theme preset, customise colours and fonts, configure your hero section, and arrange your storefront layout.

Overview

The storefront appearance editor lets you:

  • Apply one of 14 theme presets matched to your industry (hair, barber, nails, skin, injectables, tattoo, wellness)
  • Customise brand colour, heading colour, body text colour, background, fonts, and button shape
  • Configure the hero section with a background image, logo, headline, subheadline, and CTA buttons
  • Reorder and show or hide storefront sections using drag-and-drop
  • Preview all changes live before publishing

Note

Storefront appearance customisation is available on all plan tiers. There is no PRO gate on the editor. Only venue owners can edit storefront appearance. Mobile redirects to the web editor — there is no native mobile appearance editor.

Accessing the editor

  1. Go to Storefront in the sidebar (under Manage → Presence).
  2. The editor opens with three tabs: Content, Design, and Style Match.
  3. A live preview appears on the right (desktop) or as a toggleable overlay (mobile).

Choosing a theme preset

The Design tab shows a gallery of theme presets. Each preset sets fonts, colours, and button rounding in one tap.

Preset categories

Presets are grouped by industry, with a "Recommended for [your category]" section at the top and a "More themes" section below.

Preset Industry Style
Gilded Hair Refined geometry, golden accents
Earthen Hair Organic warmth, editorial calm
Industrial Barber Raw edges, bold contrasts
Heritage Barber Vintage craft, timeless detail
Tranquil Wellness Deep calm, soft curves
Minimal Wellness Airy space, weightless touch
Vivid Nails Bold colour, high energy
Editorial Nails Fashion-forward, understated
Golden Hour Skin Warm radiance, open light
Precision Skin Mathematical, exact, technical
Clinical Injectables Clean lines, quiet authority
Luxe Injectables Modern comfort, quiet luxury
Monochrome Tattoo Stark contrast, heavy weight
Gothic Tattoo Dark mood, old-world drama

Selecting a preset applies its theme, colour palette, and voice persona. Custom overrides are cleared when you choose a new preset.

Tip

Start with the preset recommended for your industry, then use the customise panel to fine-tune. This gives you a professionally designed baseline without starting from scratch.

Choosing fonts

The Typography section in the customise panel offers two dropdowns:

  • Heading font — used for section titles, hero headline, and card headings
  • Body font — used for descriptions, paragraphs, and form labels

Available fonts

Sans Serif (18 fonts): Inter, Mulish, Open Sans, Nunito, Lato, Epilogue, Montserrat, Work Sans, Space Grotesk, Darker Grotesque, Source Sans 3, Roboto, Oswald, Outfit, Raleway, Quicksand, Poppins, Anton

Serif & Display (7 fonts): Lora, Podkova, Syne, Bodoni Moda, Tenor Sans, Libre Baskerville, Crimson Text

Monospace (1 font): Roboto Mono

Decorative (1 font): Pirata One

Each font shows a preview as "Abc 123" in the dropdown, with a "Default" badge next to the theme's default font.

Button shape

The Button shape section offers four options that control the border radius of all buttons and cards:

Option Effect
Sharp Square corners (0px)
Soft Slightly rounded (0.25rem)
Rounded Moderately rounded (0.5rem)
Pill Fully rounded (9999px)

Resetting custom overrides

If you have made custom changes and want to return to the selected preset's defaults, click "Reset to theme defaults". This button only appears when custom overrides are active.

If no preset is selected, the editor shows: "Custom theme active — choose a preset to start fresh".

Configuring the hero section

The hero section is edited from the Content tab. Select the Hero section pill to open the hero editor.

Hero layout

Four layout options control the hero's visual weight:

Layout Description
Micro Logo bar with booking button — minimal vertical space
Minimal Compact, text-focused header
Standard Cover image with logo overlay
Immersive Full-impact split or full-bleed layout

Headline and subheadline

  • Headline — up to 120 characters (placeholder: "Your business name or tagline")
  • Subheadline — up to 240 characters (placeholder: "A short description or welcome message"). Hidden in the Micro layout. Two AI buttons are available: "Suggest with AI" and "Rewrite in your tone".

Primary CTA label

The Primary CTA Label field (up to 40 characters, placeholder: "Book Now") controls the text on the main booking button visible on the hero and the mobile floating CTA.

Feature toggles

Toggle What it does
Gift Cards button Shows a Gift Cards link in the hero section
Payment methods Shows accepted payment method badges (Visa, Amex, Apple Pay, etc.) below the booking button
Image enhancement Subtly brightens and sharpens hero and portfolio images (only available for Standard and Immersive layouts)

Background image

For Standard and Immersive layouts, the background image mode defaults to Custom (upload your own hero image). Additional modes (Portfolio, Collage, Pattern) are labelled "Soon" and not yet available.

Configuring the logo

Logo controls appear within the hero editor under Brand Identity.

Setting Options
Visibility Toggle on/off — shows or hides the logo on the storefront
Logo upload Drag-and-drop or file picker to upload your logo image
Safety tile Toggle — adds a white background tile behind the logo for contrast
Logo size Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large
Horizontal position Left, Centre, Right
Vertical position Top, Middle, Bottom (only available in Immersive layout)

Reordering and hiding sections

The Content tab shows your storefront sections as scrollable pills. Each pill shows the section name, an icon, and a completion status (green checkmark if ready, yellow badge with count if fields are missing).

Editing section order

  1. Click "Edit" on the Content tab to enter edit mode.
  2. All sections appear — both visible and hidden, separated by a divider.
  3. Drag sections to reorder them using the grip handle.
  4. Toggle the eye icon to show or hide individual sections.

The Hero section is always pinned first and cannot be reordered. The Footer always appears last and is not shown in the editor.

The eight sections

Section Description
Hero Headline, welcome copy, image, and booking CTA
Services Service menu and pricing
Portfolio Visual proof of your work (before/after images)
Reviews Client testimonials and ratings
Team Introduce the professionals behind the brand
About Your brand story and highlights
Packages Prepaid bundles and credit packs
Contact & Hours Location, hours, and ways to reach you

Sections with no content (e.g. Portfolio with no images, Reviews with no reviews) hide automatically on the live storefront even if toggled on.

Live preview

The editor includes a real-time preview that updates as you make changes:

  • Desktop: An iPhone-framed preview (right column, sticky) shows your storefront with current settings
  • Mobile: A "Preview" button opens a full-screen preview sheet

The preview reflects all unsaved changes including colours, fonts, section order, hero content, and logo position.

Publishing changes

Changes are not live until you publish them.

  1. Make your customisations across the Content and Design tabs.
  2. Click "Publish Changes" in the bottom action bar.
  3. A toast confirms: "Storefront changes published live".

To discard unsaved changes, click "Reset" in the action bar. If you try to leave the page with unsaved changes, a warning dialog appears.

Warning

Published changes are visible to customers immediately. Preview your storefront carefully before publishing, especially if you are changing themes or colours during business hours.

Troubleshooting

Issue Solution
Custom colours not applying after choosing a preset Selecting a preset clears custom overrides. Use the "Customise your theme" panel below the gallery to re-apply your custom colours after selecting a preset.
Changes not appearing on the live storefront You must click "Publish Changes" for edits to go live. If already published, clear your browser cache or wait a few seconds for the CDN to update.
Logo looks wrong against the hero background Enable the Safety tile toggle in the logo settings — this adds a white background behind your logo for better contrast.
Subheadline field is missing The subheadline field is hidden when the hero layout is set to Micro. Switch to Minimal, Standard, or Immersive to see the subheadline field.
Cannot reorder sections Section reordering requires clicking the "Edit" button on the Content tab first. Once in edit mode, drag sections using the grip handle. The Hero section cannot be moved — it is always first.
Font not showing correctly in preview The font picker lazy-loads Google Fonts when opened. If a font does not render in the preview, wait a moment and try selecting it again. Published storefronts load fonts directly from Google CDN.
"Custom theme active" message in Design tab This appears when no preset is selected. Choose any preset from the gallery to start with a complete theme, then customise from there.
